New Bohemian Style

Hello everyone! As you have noticed I've been away for  a while so it feels really good to be back! My husband and I are working on a project that I will soon reveal to all of you. It's pretty exciting to be working on something that will possibly change my day to day ritual...More to come soon!

What I am really into right now in home decor is the "Bohemian Scandinavian" look. I love white in the home, and when you accessorize it with silver Moroccan lamps, solid wood furniture, candle sticks, the color black, and a cozy fireplace the feel of such a style really comes together.

I found the first 2 inspirations at dar amina, a lovely blog about North African design. I absolutely love the silver-toned lanterns hanging at the door in the first picture. The image above gives you a really good feel of how black & white is such an important part of this style.
Silver hanging lanterns I found at this great website
Grouped candles on semi-round white washed solid wood table , a classic look  from a great blog, my lovely things.

An exotic tray-table and some Moroccan-inspired bowls always helps with the look of a bohemian Scandinavian home. Find the table at ikea and the bowls at images d'orient.
A castle-inspired fireplace in the corner of your living room gives the coziness required on a cold Scandinavian night! Notice the black and white stripes that is also a trademark of this type of home decor.
The lovely room above shows how once pulled together, a bohemian inspired Scandinavian room can really make a statement.

Would you use Bohemian-Scandinavian in your home? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Enjoy your day!
