Not so broken art

So what happens when you break a plate, bowl, or vase at home? The common thing to do is to throw it out since we consider it irreparable  But what if there was a way to not only repair it, but repair it and make the end result more beautiful than before?

Called kintsukuroi, this is a Japanese art that aims to mend a broken piece by using gold or silver, which eventually makes the object more valuable than before it was broken. This art has also inspired a life philosophy for some people who have been through  a traumatic experience. It gives a person the feeling that even after someone is hurt, they can heal to be even more beautiful, or stronger, than before.

Have a wonderful Friday!
