Our visit to Konak, Part two: Beautiful Iznik tiles...

Hey everyone! Haven't been around since Friday and I really have missed blogging!

Today I wanted to share with you part two of our small trip to Konak, from last week, which I first blogged about here. As we were walking down the older part of the bazaar I happened to notice some very pretty tiles decorating a vacant (and from the looks of the place, very much deserted) shop. It seems these tiles were not only decorative for the shop owner but also functional, filling in the gaps betwenn the ugly metal frame surrounding he façade of the store.

Here's a close up of these very unique and intriguing Iznik tiles:

So, that's part two of our trip...More to come this week when I share with you our last stop from that trip...

Have a great week!!
