Weekend wishes...And a bright and organized Parisian apartment...

Happy Friday my dear readers!

Now that we have put one holiday behind us, I think it's time to bring out the tree, don't you think? But before I go about my holiday decorating, here is a little something for you to enjoy this Friday:

To be strictly honest, the first two pictures did remind me of our own apartment...Colorful carpets, white bookshelves, and an inviting living area filled with favorite objects and art. Maybe that's why I'm drawn to show a bit more of this modern but eclectic Parisian apartment...

I really like that although most of the rooms in this 150 square meter apartment has open shelving, it still looks organized and neat. Realistically I'm not too keen about open shelving in the kitchen, because I assume it would require a lot of cleaning to keep up the shiny and fresh look. For me it could take some getting used to!

I have always wanted a small area either in the kitchen or the dining area that had some space for a bistro-style table. I imagine myself having my coffee and checking out pinterest while waiting for the pasta's water to boil. I think it's much more stylish than a regular kitchen table, and the one here is the perfect size and shape.
Pretty paper lanterns adorn the dining table...Are those DIY polka dots on those plain white lanterns, I wonder?

I love this space designed especailly for the little one of the house! I really have to seriously think about wallpapering parts of my bookcases...The effect it gives to the dark gray built-ins above is absolutely unique!

Although I love turquoise, it wouldn't have been my first choice in the bedroom. But it works exceptionally well, especailly when matched with the ikat-inspired tiling visible from the door.

All in all, a wonderful and inspiring apartment.

So I'm off to add some festive spirit to our home. How has your holiday decorating been coming along?

Enjoy your Friday, and have a great weekend!
