Weekend wishes...And bringing turquoise into your home...

As spring approaches I go about trying to shake off the winter blues and spruce up the house a bit...That means trading off some of my more wintery decor colors, like white and gray, with various hues of violet, green, and blue. Especailly blue...For me blue is usually associated with the turquoise waters of the Aegean. I hear turquoise is also a hot color this season, be it on walls, on floors, or furniture.

So here is a little something to get you inspired to use turquoise in your home, too:

This lovely Moroccan home has the most beautiful turquoise colored tiles I have ever seen, and in a chevron pattern! Notice how the chairs, also turquoise, make the orange and pink pattern on the tablecloth pop, adding to that "riad" flair, don't you think?

The office area below uses a wonderful light turquoise on the walls...The same colored illustrations are highlighted using frames in contrasting colors, such as gold and black.

Really love this bright and colorful bedroom with hints of turquoise here and there. And don't you just love the abstract-y DIY painting above the bed? Reminds me of ocean waves...

Decorate your walls with unique art by etsy artist Amoma...Lots of beautiful butterflies in turquoise hues (and more) await you!

Pretty turquoise blue leather poufs sit at the feet of this bed, offering color and function to the room. Find more ideas and inspiration at serena and lily.

If you can't paint your walls or change your floor tiles to turquoise then why not find a lovely armoire to sit pretty in your living room, bedroom, or even entry in the prettiest of turquoise?

Afraid to make a huge commitment to turquoise in your home right now? Shop for some beautiful accessories for your home in this popular color, all from zgallerie:

The key to using color as an accent is to scatter the pieces you choose around the room, so the eye sees this color used again and again to form a pleasant pattern. And always choose your accesories in odd numbers, such as in threes, fives, etc. (as you have so commonly heard) and in different heights, again to please the eye. For instance, you could use the above shown candle pillars on the coffee table in the living room, the pillows on the sofa, and maybe the chandelier as lighting, all in the same room.

Ready to decorate?

Enjoy your weekend my dear lovely readers!
