Where do you stand when it comes to stenciling your home?
I feel that with all the great wallpaper there are out there right now, I really don't need to spend hours of hard labor to pattern my walls or floors.
But when I saw these rooms stenciled in beautiful patterns, I changed my mind.
I might just try adorning my home with one these designs in the near future...
The northern star pattern in shiny gold looks very royal on this ceiling, above.
A classic Moroccan pattern in gray and white adds texture to the walls above. This is probably a pattern I would use without any hesitation in my home too.
Swedish lace stencils are pretty hot right now...Wouldn't this look beautiful in a nursery or little girl's room, even on one wall?
Why not stencil the inside of your bookcase? The white seahorse pattern repeated in a row on a sandy colored background gives just enough "beach house" hints to a home.
A pretty tree of life, above, adorns a living room, and one of my favorites, the gold oriental-ish pattern on hot pink in the kitcthen as a backlash brings color and surprise to your cooking area.
Stenciling is not just for the walls, you know. I absolutely love this idea of stenciling some paper and then framing it to make home for my jewelry! And I have to mention how elegant the Japanese pattern is too...
Using a stencil only as a border, by the floor, near the ceiling or even at counter-height can transform any space instantly, above.
Also loved this home office space with leopard print floors in white and gray. I would definitely get my creative juices flowing in such an organized and pretty space with lovely stenciled floors, wouldn't you?
