Color: Purple in two different bedrooms

I love the color purple...I don't wear it much, but I love using it i my home.My kitchen chairs are slipclovered in a dark aubergine color...My first sofa and chair I ever bought were purple, in velvet by the way. I really think that purple is actually a neutral color, that can works with every color and in every room. 

Today I wanted to focus on purple in the bedroom.

Love the rich hue of purple used in the bedrooma above...It brings such sophistication withouy overdoing the dramatic effect. Loads of curtain partitioning the room really adds texture and dimension to an otherwise plain room. Notice how the color is scattered throughout the room in the kilim rug and the painting over the head of the bed. Find this home here.

The bedroom above is more of a low-key, country style, calm and relaxed type of bedroom. A lovely cotton quilt and lilac-hued pillows add color to this white room. The use of gray stripes on the chair compliments the purple without overwhelming the room. Find more over here.
