I have a confession to make.
I have been very bad about blogging these past couple of months, I know. When I started this blog I was mainly aiming to archive home ideas and interiors that I could at least partially incorporate into my own home, and inspire you, my readers, along the way. I also had the intention of sharing changes and updates in my own home. This past year has been very busy and chaotic for me and family, for no specific reason, and somehow concentrating on a home decor project has become extremely difficult. So now I hope you don't mind if I write a bit about what's on my mind just to take some of the load off.
My husband and I are hoping to purchase the apartment we live in right now, mostly becuase it's spacious and bright, not something you come across in the city center here (or anywhere, for that matter). But the truth is the roof has given us hell, unfortunately, since we live on the top floor and the leakage happens every winter during rain season. Now I have to live with this extremely ugly ceiling with paint peeling off and falling down like snow...Our landlord said he would have it fixed in the Spring when the rain season is over, and also reimburse us for the painting job we so desperately need after the water damage. He's nice like that. But I'm not sure I have the power to endure another winter season next year with "what ifs" about the roof. Which also makes us reconsider purchasing the place, which by the way has doubled in price since last year due to an explosion in real estate demand in our area.
I never thought writing about our ordeal would make me feel so much better, but it has.
But life is good, we are all happy, and that's what matters...
Thanks for listening...
Now let's get back to the good stuff, like this beautiful rustic cabin located in Russia:
Thanks for stopping by...
Have a great weekend!
